Oregon's vineyards lie to the west of the Cascade Mountains and experience the direct influence of the Pacific Ocean. Cooling breezes make Oregon ideal for Pinot Noir, but weather can be volatile and vintage variation can be considerable. Good news: 2015 was a near-perfect season.
