The 2016 Gravascal comes from a kind of soil in their estate vineyards in the Piedra Infinita estate where there is some 30 to 40 centimeters of topsoil and then the boulders are covered in limestone. They selected a half-hectare plot that, year after year after 2009 and especially since 2013 when they started fermenting all the plots separately, seems to have a special character. This is a gentler expression of the soils than the Supercal, with great balance and complexity. This is terrific. Drink date: 2019-2034. Score - 98. (Luis Gutiérrez, robertparker.com, Oct. 31, 2019)
