Although the label says VQA Niagara Peninsula, this pinot is from the Clark Farm in the Four Mile Creek sub-appellation, a blend of the seven best barrels from the vineyard, aged 10 months. It's a delicate and refined example, with ultra-fine tannins leaving ripe-zesty acids to carry the weight. Fruit is properly in the red fruit spectrum, joined by savoury notes, earth, leather, spice, clean overall. Length and depth are very good.
