Chocolate Caramel Stout Float

A decadent treat, this adult version of a float is great with the grilled cheese but is also perfect on its own in front of a roaring fire.

Makes 1 float

1 tbsp (15 mL) store-bought caramel syrup
1 cup (250 mL) stout beer, chilled
(preferably one with chocolate flavours,i.e. Young’s Double Chocolate)
1 scoop vanilla ice cream, about ⅓ cup (80 mL)

1 In a glass, stir together caramel syrup and¼ cup (60 mL) stout. Once mixed well, slowly pour the rest of the beer into glass without creating too much of a head.

2 Place scoop of ice cream in glass, stir with straw and serve.
