This is the second version of Tayú 1865, the wine that San Pedro makes in collaboration with the Mapuche community of Buchahueico in the town of Purén, at the foot of the Nahuelbuta Mountain Range in the Malleco Valley. The Mapuche people never grew vines or fermented grapes - it's not part of their culture - so this project that began in 2015 has been an experience of cultural syncretism, a meeting of two cultures that has given this wine tremendous character, with notes of spices, herbs, black fruits, and earth, a pinot that already exhibits a lot of complexity on the nose, while the palate is severe in tannins, and juicy in deep and fruity flavors. Score - 98. (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2021)
