The identifying characteristic of this wine and what separates it from being another second wine like several others around, is that instead of having the same cabernet sauvignon base as Seña, this takes refuge in the fruity and juicy terrain of malbec, which makes up 35% this year, in the second version of this Rocas. The blend is completed with 21% syrah, 20% cabernet sauvignon, 10% grenache, 9% petit verdot, and the rest is mourvèdre, a rather eclectic combination from its own vineyards in the Aconcagua Valley. This version is a clear reflection of an excellent vintage throughout central Chile, a cool season with vibrant red fruits and a network of fine and piercing tannins that, after 22 months of aging in barrels (40% new oak), are almost creamy and round. A second and brilliant version of this red. Score - 96. (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2024)
