The Classic Margarita
Autumn 2013
Fresh ingredients have been around forever, but it wasn’t until bartenders started using freshly squeezed fruit and high-quality spirits that we realized the difference it made in our cocktails. The original Margarita, reputedly invented in 1936, is simple—and simply perfect.
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add 1 oz 100 percent agave tequila, 1 oz orange liqueur and 1 oz lime juice. Shake and strain into a rocks glass with ice (no need for salt; it dulls your palate). Garnish with a lime wedge.
