Old Fashioned (The Classic)

Less is more when it comes to making the uber-popular, sturdy Old Fashioned, so skip the muddled cherries and lemons and keep it simple instead.
Makes 1 drink
THE CLASSIC
Soak a sugar cube with 4 dashes Angostura bitters in a lowball glass. Add ½ oz soda and muddle until sugar is dissolved. Add 3 large ice cubes, 2 oz rye whisky and stir for 45 seconds. Squeeze an orange twist over the top to express oils, then drop it in for a garnish.
