Irish Coffee
Winter 2013
The sage-scented cream adds a unique extra component to this version of the classic Irish Coffee.
Makes 1 drink
3 oz whipping cream
½ oz runny honey
5 to 6 fresh sage leaves, stems removed
2 oz hot coffee
1½ oz Jameson Irish Whiskey
1 level tsp brown sugar
1 In a cocktail shaker, combine cream, honey and sage leaves. Shake to dissolve honey, and muddle sage leaves.
2 In a toddy glass or mug, combine coffee and whiskey and stir in sugar to dissolve.
3 Remove sage leaves from cream. Float cream on top of hot coffee. Garnish with a new sage leaf.
