Fresh Tomato Spicy Bloody Mary

The addition of chipotle (a smoked jalapeño pepper) adds a kick to this classic cocktail. Canned chipotle can be found in the international aisle of most grocery stores.
Makes 1 drink
Garnish: lemon wedge, coarse salt and cucumber spear
1 whole large tomato chopped (core removed)
2 oz tomato juice
1½ tbsp lemon juice
½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp canned chipotle pepper
(use sauce not whole pepper)
½ tsp salt
1 cup crushed ice
1½ oz vodka
1. Rub the rim of the glass with lemon wedge. Fill a saucer or bowl with coarse salt. Place glass into salt with a twisting action until edge is covered with salt.
2. Add all ingredients except ice and vodka to a blender. Blend on high with lid on blender unti ltomatoes are puréed. Add crushed ice and vodka and blend for about 10 seconds. Pour into rimmed glass and garnish with cucumber spear.
