The Marynissen story began in 1953 when John and Adrianna Marynissen purchased the property. In 1976, John planted Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Merlot and Gamay, making the winery one of the first in Ontario to plant vinifera. The Cabernet Franc 2021 has plenty of Niagara's distinctly bright, lithe character, with cranberry, dark fruit, earth, oak spice, and fine-grained tannins.
