The 2016 Pouilly Fumé La Demoiselle de Bourgeois is clear, fine and mineral on the nose. Coming from Kimmeridgian marl soil, this is a pure, very elegant and aromatically discreet Pouilly with some black currant flavors on the horizon but most of all weathered stones. The palate is tight, intense and persistent, with salt and minerals as well as grippy phenols and remarkable finesse. Still young but a promising Pouilly-Fumé.
