The warmer 2016 vintages amps the intensity, edge and depth of this full-on pinot. Fermented with natural yeast and aged in French oak for up to 18 months it is a selection of top barrels. It pours fairly pale ruby-garnet. The nose shows lifted red cherry/raspberry, fresh herbs and spice with some forest floor/earthy complexity. It is medium bodied, intense and smooth texture with sweet fruit, fine tannin and a sour-edged finish. The length is excellent to outstanding. Enjoy now with aeration 2022 through this decade.
