A markedly ripe yet still reasonably fresh nose grudgingly reveals its aromas of poached plum, black cherry liqueur, kirsch and a pretty violet hint. The supple, round and generously proportioned medium-bodied flavors possess good definition before culminating in a dusty, youthfully austere and powerful finish.
