Sunny Vodka Soda
When it comes to cocktails, a Vodka Soda is about as plain as it gets. We decided to jazz it up with fragrant blood orange juice, a splash of lime and orange-flavoured soda water. Our Sunny Vodka Soda is still light, refreshing and relatively low in calories, but it has more snap, crackle and pop. It’s also gorgeous — a ray of sunshine cutting through the winter gloom.
Recipe
The citrusy highball is an excellent brunch libation, especially paired with easy, comforting Duck Hash.
Sunny Vodka Soda recipe by Eric Vellend

¼ oz strained fresh lime juice
4 oz orange-flavoured soda water, chilled
Half-wheel blood orange to garnish

TIP
When blood oranges are not in season, this cocktail is equally delicious, though not quite as pretty, made with regular oranges.
