A beautifully light gold colour, not in any way heavy, which carries over to the palate. That, for me, shows what Sauternes should be doing: offering the reward of sweetness without the threat of it. It just delivers its luxurious exotic fruits and spices without ever straying towards being cloying. This is a property to watch, with the new, lighter No. 5 de Sigalas also breaking new ground. Drinking window: 2022-2050. Score - 95. (Jane Anson, decanter.com, June 16, 2019)
