The LCBO has partnered with MADD Canada for more than 20 years to keep roads safe and ensure Ontarians get home safely. Together, we are committed to ensuring our customers stay safe and make informed decisions. It’s part of our commitment to build thriving communities and prevent alcohol consumption among minors.
In 2018, the LCBO made a strategic decision to provide MADD Canada with its own designated campaign in advance of the summer and “road trip” season to ensure everyone is making responsible decisions. This allowed us to bring greater attention to the dangers of drinking and driving while still raising funds for this important cause.
The #GetHomeSafely campaign launched in early May to begin reminding customers to drink responsibly and drive sober in the lead up to the long weekend.
Thanks to the generosity of our customers and dedicated staff, over $1.8 million was raised. Funds will help the charity provide education and awareness programs to children and youth across the province.
