Whisky Sour Rimmer with Vanilla-Cardamom Sugar

The Whisky Sour has been around for more than 100 years, and the balance of spirit, sugar and citrus never gets old. We highlight the whisky with our simple yet elegant combination.

Makes about 1 cup (250 mL)

1 To a lidded container or jar, add 1 cup (250 mL) sugar, 1 tbsp (15 mL) ground cardamom and 1 tsp (5 mL) pure vanilla extract. Close lid and shake well to mix. Break up any clumps with a fork and continue to mix. Store for up to 1 month. To rim, moisten lip of a glass with fresh lime juice or lime cordial before dipping in rimmer.
