Niagara Bramble
Early Summer 2015
This twisted version of the drink works nicely as a refreshing Canadian whisky cocktail for the hotter months. Creamy, mouth-filling Pike Creek whisky (LCBO 405076), made here in Ontario, has faint hints of dried fruits and port that work perfectly with the local cherries.
Makes 1 drink
1½ oz Pike Creek whisky
½ oz Heering Cherry Liqueur
½ oz fresh lemon juice
¾ oz cherry preserves
Niagara cherry, for garnish
1. Combine all ingredients except garnish in a cocktail shaker and shake until well blended. Fine-strain into an Old Fashioned glass. Top up with crushed ice. Garnish with a Niagara cherry.
