Makes 1 cocktail
¾ oz cognac
¼ each lemon juice and simple syrup
3 to 5 oz champagne
Lemon twist, for garnish
Vigorously shake cognac, lemon juice and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Strain into a chilled champagne flute and slowly top with champagne. Garnish with lemon twist.
