Santa Rita buys the grapes for this Pewën from the Quijada family's 80-year-old vineyards on granitic soils in the Apalta Valley. The wine was aged in barrels with 30% new oak for about 16 months. This Pewën follows the course of the past vintage, when it showed a much fruitier and refreshing side, with no fear of revealing its herbal side. The texture is tense, the acidity is firm, and the spicy aromas blend very well with the red fruits in a wine that needs at least three or four years in the bottle to achieve complexity and greater balance.
