Discover this unique island destination's signature varietals

New Zealand is relatively new to the international winemaking scene with a history dating back to the 1970s, yet this tiny, remote country in the South Pacific has earned huge respect around the globe for crafting serious wines of exceptional quality. The island nation's cool maritime climate, rich soils and long growing season create the perfect conditions for producing its most famous wine, a distinctive style of crisp Sauvignon Blanc with tropical fruit, herbal and gooseberry flavours. An impressive range of other complex, flavourful varietals, including fruity, elegant Pinot Noirs and vibrant Chardonnays and Rieslings also thrive here in the diverse landscape that spans from mountainous Gisborne and sunny Hawke's Bay on the North Island to Marlborough – the largest winegrowing region – and Central Otago on the South Island. These are wines you can feel good about: 98 percent of the country’s 500 wineries are certified sustainable.

This box of six wines includes Yealands Sauvignon Blanc, Kim Crawford Rosé, Villa Maria Private Bin Chardonnay, Stoneleigh Latitude Sauvignon Blanc, Riverlore Sauvignon Blanc and Babich Sauvignon Blanc.

This exciting box, carefully curated by our experts, features five fresh whites and a zesty rosé, ideal for your summer sipping.

Villa Maria Private Bin Chardonnay is a fruity, creamy Chardonnay with fresh fig, vanilla, pear and nut flavours to complement pasta salads or appetizers. In the mood for rosé? Kim Crawford Rosé is a pretty-in-pink blend of Malbec and Merlot with ripe melon and strawberry notes that shine when paired with summer salads and grilled seafood.

And of course, New Zealand is world-famous for its Sauvignon Blanc, and there are four exciting choices in this collection, all crafted in the acclaimed Marlborough wine region. Yealands Estate Winery is known for the affordable quality of its wines, and its Sauvignon Blanc is bright and crisp, with floral, gooseberry and herbal aromas. From our Vintages section comes Stoneleigh Latitude Sauvignon Blanc, grown in the Wairau Valley. Appealingly acidic, it has notes of herbs, minerals and citrus, all of which match well with lemony grilled fish. Neighbouring vineyard Riverlore offers a Sauvignon Blanc that is extra-dry and extra-flavourful, with spicy floral aromas. Finally, Babich Sauvignon Blanc is bursting with passion fruit, floral and citrus elements to go perfectly with your summertime meals.

This box also includes a tube of Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream.
