Long Cosmo
Classic cocktails have their place in summer, but try them poured long and tall, with slightly different proportions and more mix—but all the flavour. Here, we’ve reinvented the iconic pink Martini-style Cosmopolitan as a tall, cool red and white highball.
1½ oz vodka
½ oz McGuinness Triple Sec
1 oz simple syrup
1 oz lime juice
1 to 2 oz pure (unsweetened) cranberry juice
2 oz soda water
1 lime wedge, for garnish
To a highball glass filled with ice, add vodka, triple sec, syrup and lime juice. Stir to mix. Gently and slowly pour cranberry juice overtop (pouring over the rounded back of a spoon creates a gentle pour that “floats” on top of the cocktail). Top with soda. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve. (Stir before drinking.)
