Emma Walker, Master Blender, Johnnie Walker

Emma Walker has been working for Diageo for over 15 years. She has a background in scientific research with production expertise and has developed an encyclopaedic knowledge of whisky production, maturation and blending. Emma leads the whisky specialist team based in Menstrie, Scotland, and has access to more than 10 million casks of maturing Scotch whisky from distilleries across the four corners of Scotland. Catherine Wilson, Blending Quality Manager, Crown Royal

Catherine Wilson is a member of the whisky blending team responsible for the Crown Royal family of whiskies. Catherine has worked at Diageo for over seven years, during which time she completed a graduate diploma in supply chain and operations management, which complements her blending work. She aspires to become a master blender one day and is proud to work with such a passionate team. Catherine grew up in rural Ontario and currently lives in Montreal. Try Crown Royal Whisky

Caroline Martin, Master Blender, Roe & Co (Retired)

Caroline Martin was one of Diageo's longest-serving whisky master blenders, retiring in 2021 after a 35-year career. She has helped blaze a trail for women in Scotch whisky and has built a reputation for mentoring talent in the industry. She has contributed her blending skills to some of the most iconic brands in the world, including Johnnie Walker, J&B, Bell's, Old Parr and Roe & Co. Karina Sánchez, Global Brand Ambassador, Don Julio

Karina Sánchez has worked in the tequila industry for over 15 years, from production to education to public relations. Her degree as a chemical engineer enables her to fully understand and communicate the tequila production process. Prior to working at Diageo, she was the public relations and promotion manager for the Mexican Tequila Chamber. During her career, she launched the first National Tequila Day and Tequila Cocktail Week celebrations in Mexico. Try Don Julio Blanco

Jenn Barak, Associate Winemaker, Louis M. Martini

Jenn Barak began her career as a harvest intern where she conducted various practices of field sampling to bottling. She then held various roles such as enologist, ranch lead and quality team lead for prestigious vineyards in Sonoma and the Russian River Valley. She later joined Louis M. Beth Liston, Senior Director of Winemaking, Longshot

Beth Liston has more than a decade of harvests behind her. She has accumulated a diverse collection of winemaking experiences from South Australia to Napa and now California's Central Valley. Deb Juergenson, Winemaker, Apothic Wines

Deb Juergenson's fascination with wine grapes started when she earned a bachelor's degree in geology. She then joined E & J Gallo Winery's coastal winemaking team where she had a hands-on role in blending for eight years. Jennifer Wall, Winemaker, Barefoot

Jenn Wall discovered her love for winemaking during her first harvest in 1991 in Sonoma. While learning winemaking skills on the job during the day and taking enology classes at night, Jenn developed expertise that earned her the role of Barefoot winemaker in 1995. Over the last 29 years, she has turned Barefoot into the most awarded wine brand in the U.S. Try Barefoot Pinot Grigio

Women in Brewing Scholarship

Miller Lite's Women in Brewing Scholarship provides an annual $7,000 donation to Niagara College to help support women breaking into the brewing industry. Between February 25 and March 23, a $1 donation will be made to the scholarship for every six-pack of Miller Lite sold. Try Miller Lite
