LCBO partners with March of Dimes Canada to promote employment services for people with disabilities

At the LCBO, we are committed to improving the wellbeing of our communities across Ontario. For more than 95 years social responsibility has been at the core of our mandate, fostering meaningful partnerships to drive positive change in our communities. That’s why we’re proud to announce our new partnership with March of Dimes Canada, a leading charitable organization dedicated to enhancing the independence and community participation of individuals with disabilities.

Through this partnership, which includes a $100,000 donation, we are championing inclusivity by supporting March of Dimes Canada’s Paving the Path to Work program. This important program empowers individuals with disabilities to explore career opportunities and build essential work skills. The Paving the Path to Work program offers a comprehensive six-week experience designed to prepare individuals with disabilities for the workforce. Participants gain valuable insights into career pathways, set achievable goals, and participate in hands-on activities such as skill-building workshops and workplace visits.

Operating both virtually and in person in Hamilton, Niagara, London, Peel, and Toronto, the program supports more than 500 people annually. With LCBO’s donation, the initiative will expand its reach, enabling an additional 50 individuals to benefit from these life-changing services.

“Our partnership with the LCBO presents an incredible opportunity to expand Paving the Path to Work, equipping more individuals with disabilities across Ontario with the skills and confidence they need to thrive,” said Louissa Regier, Director of Skills Development and Employment at March of Dimes Canada. “By supporting this program, LCBO is helping participants build brighter futures and achieve greater financial security.”

By partnering with March of Dimes Canada, we are showcasing the potential of corporate-community collaboration to drive social progress, championing accessibility and inclusion across Ontario. It highlights our commitment to creating opportunities that reflect the diverse communities where we operate.
