Caipirinha

The Caipirinha (the name means “little peasant girl”) is a doozy.

Cut half a fresh lime into pieces, add 2 tsp sugar and muddle it (crush out the juices) in the bottom of a tumbler. Add 1½ oz cachaça, stir well and fill the glass with ice.
