Up to 50 different whiskies are used to create a blended Scotch, ideally creating a balanced combination of complex flavours. When mixing Scotch cocktails, keep it simple, so as not to lose the superb nuanced of Scotch whisky.
1 oz blended scotch
¾ oz sweet vermouth
¼ oz Benedictine
Garnish:
Orange twist
1. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add 1 oz blended scotch, ¾ oz sweet vermouth and ¼ oz Benedictine.
2. Stir until well chilled and strain into a Martini glass.
3. Garnish with an orange twist.
