Dragon's Tooth is a creative new blend for Napa, led by 49% malbec, 27% petit verdot and 24% cabernet sauvignon. It has quite lifted piquant nose of blackcurrant, mint, capers and pepper. It is medium-full bodied, energetic, hottish and sour-edged. I would have no qualms about pegging it is an Argentine wine. I like the energy here. Alcohol a bit high and tannins are chewy. In a sea of almost overly stuffed and polished Napa wines this stands out for its more raw exuberance. Excellent length. Tasted September 2021. Score - 94. (David Lawrason, winealign.com)
