Tamari Pecans

Tamari has a rich, smooth aroma and taste. These easy-to-make glazed nuts are completely irresistible.
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Combine 1 tbsp (15 mL) tamari, 1 tbsp (15 mL) sugar and ¼ tsp(1 mL) Asian chili sauce in a bowl and stir until uniform. Set aside. Place 1 cup (250 mL) whole pecans on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes or until nuts are hot. Add hot pecans to tamari mixture and stir for 1 minute or until pecans are fully coated. Return pecans to lined baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 7 minutes or until pecans are toasted and coating is bubbling slightly. Remove from oven, sprinkle pecans lightly with flaky salt and let cool fully.
Makes 1 cup (250 mL)
