(2020) STATEMENT ON LCBO EMPLOYEE TESTING POSITIVE FOR COVID-19

Thursday, December 31, 2020 – Toronto – The LCBO has been notified that team members at the following LCBO stores have tested positive for COVID-19. The employees are self-isolating at home, and we wish them well.

  • Two employees at Store #632 in Woodbridge (8260 HWY #27). The last shifts worked in store were on Sunday, December 27, 2020. This is further to LCBO’s media advisory on December 29 informing of a previous confirmed case. This location closed for deep cleaning and will reopen based on staff availability.
  • #93 in Fort Erie (1105 Thompson Rd.). The last shift worked in-store was on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. This is further to LCBO’s media advisories on December 27 and December 23 informing of previous confirmed cases.

Wednesday, December 30, 2020 – Toronto – The LCBO has been notified that a team member at store #703 in Toronto (5979 Steeles Avenue East) has tested positive for COVID-19. The last shift worked in-store was on Sunday, December 27, 2020. The employee is self-isolating at home, and we wish them well.

Tuesday, December 29, 2020 – Toronto – The LCBO has been notified that team members at the following LCBO stores have tested positive for COVID-19. The employees are self-isolating at home, and we wish them well.

  • Four employees at Store #166 in Essex (39 Arthur Ave.). The last shifts worked in-store were on Tuesday, December 22, two on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, and on Thursday, December 24, 2020. This is further to LCBO’s media advisory on December 24, informing of a previous confirmed case. This location will remain closed until further notice.

  • Store #93 in Fort Erie (1105 Thompson Road). The last shift worked in-store was on Sunday, December 20, 2020. This location has undergone a deep cleaning and is open from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. today.

Saturday, December 19, 2020 – Toronto – The LCBO has been notified that team members at the following LCBO stores have tested positive for COVID-19. The employees are self-isolating at home, and we wish them well.

  • Store #693 in Toronto (272 Queen St. West). The last shift worked in-store was on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. This location has undergone a deep cleaning and is open for regular business hours today.

Tuesday, December 8, 2020 – Toronto – Further to LCBO’s December 7th media advisory, the LCBO has learned of a third team member at LCBO store #776 in Pickering (1899 Brock Rd.) testing positive for COVID-19.

Following the initial two positive case reports, Public Health determined an outbreak at this location.

The last shifts worked in-store by these team members were on Saturday, November 28, 2020, Sunday, November 29, 2020 and Wednesday, December 2, 2020. As a cautionary measure, any customers who shopped at this location between November 25, 2020 and December 2, 2020 are recommended to self-monitor and seek testing should any symptoms present.

The last shifts worked in-store were on Saturday, November 14, 2020 and Sunday, November 22, 2020 respectively. Both employees are self-isolating at home, and we wish them well.

Tuesday, November 24, 2020 – Toronto – Further to the media advisory issued on Saturday, November 21, 2020, relating to an employee at LCBO Store #656 in Toronto (619 Queen St. W.) testing positive for COVID-19, an additional case has since been reported by a team member whose last shift worked was Friday, November 20, 2020. This team member is also self-isolating at home, and we wish them well.

Saturday, November 21, 2020 – Toronto – The LCBO has been notified that two team members, one who is part of the team at LCBO store #181 in Delhi (249 James St.) and the other at Store #656 in Toronto (619 Queen St. W.) have tested positive for COVID-19. Thursday, September 17, 2020 – Toronto – The LCBO was notified today (September 17, 2020) that two LCBO employees have tested positive for COVID-19. The first is an employee at LCBO Store #186 in Toronto (1618 Wilson Avenue - Sheridan Mall) and their last shift worked in-store was Wednesday, September 9, 2020. The second, unrelated case, is an employee at LCBO Store #408 in Toronto (1 York Gate Blvd - Yorkgate Mall) and their last shift worked in-store was Saturday, September 12, 2020. Both employees are self-isolating at home and we wish them well.  

Both stores have been regularly cleaned and disinfected since the employees’ last shifts and Public Health has not provided any directions or recommendations with respect to either location. This general notice is being provided out of transparency

Sunday, September 13, 2020 – Toronto – Further to our post on Thursday, September 10, 2020, relating to an employee at LCBO Store #41 in Ottawa (665 Industrial Avenue – The Trainyards) testing positive for COVID-19, additional cases have since been reported. Due to the potential of an outbreak at this location, the store is closed until further notice.

Friday, September 4, 2020 – Toronto – The LCBO was notified this afternoon (September 4, 2020) that an employee at LCBO Store #242 in Scarborough (510 Brimley Road) has tested positive for COVID-19. As a precautionary measure, this location is closed and will undergo a deep cleaning. The store is expected to reopen on Saturday, September 5, 2020, subject to staff availability. Friday, June 19,  2020 — Toronto - Today we were informed that an employee at our LCBO Store #163 in Toronto (3111 Danforth Avenue) tested positive for COVID-19. Our thoughts are with our team member and we wish them a full and speedy recovery.

It has been two weeks since the last shift the employee worked in-store, on June 5, 2020, and regular cleaning has continuously taken place. Public Health has not provided any direction or recommendations with respect to this location. Thursday, May 28, 2020 — Toronto - Today we were informed that an employee at our LCBO Store #163 in Toronto (3111 Danforth Avenue) tested positive for COVID-19. Our thoughts are with our team member and we wish them a full and speedy recovery.

It has been two weeks since the last shift the employee worked in-store, on May 15, 2020, and regular cleaning has continuously taken place. Public Health has not provided any direction or recommendations with respect to this location. Saturday, May 16, 2020 — Toronto - The LCBO was notified this morning that a contract vendor working out of LCBO Store #618 in Toronto (2181 Steeles Avenue) has tested positive for COVID-19. They last worked in-store on Friday, May 8, 2020 and we wish them a full and speedy recovery. 

As a precautionary measure, this location is temporarily closed for deep cleaning. Public Health has not provided any directions or recommendations with respect to this location. This general notice is being provided out of transparency for customers who may have recently shopped at this location.  

Thursday, May 14, 2020 — St. Catharines - Today we were informed that an employee at our LCBO Store #392 in St. Catharines (420 Vansickle Road) tested positive for COVID-19. The last shift this employee worked in the store was on Saturday, May 7, 2020. The employee is currently resting at home and we wish them a full and speedy recovery.

As a precautionary measure, this location was deep cleaned on Saturday, May 9. Additional cleaning is being arranged and the store will reopen based on staff availability. This general notice is being provided out of transparency for customers who may have recently shopped at this location.

Tuesday, May 12, 2020 — Toronto – Last night (May 11, 2020) we were informed that a third employee at LCBO Store #584 at Woodside Square in Scarborough (1571 Sandhurst Circle) has tested positive for COVID-19. This employee last worked in-store on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 and we wish them a full and speedy recovery.

As a precautionary measure, this retail location is temporarily closed to the public. This location was previously deep cleaned on Thursday, May 7, however additional cleaning is being arranged.

Public Health has not provided any directions or recommendations with respect to this location. This general notice is being provided out of transparency for customers who may have recently shopped at this location.

Monday, May 11, 2020 — Toronto – Last night (May 10, 2020) we were informed that an employee at LCBO Store #584 at Woodside Square in Scarborough (1571 Sandhurst Circle) has tested positive for COVID-19. This employee last worked in-store on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 and we wish them a full and speedy recovery.

The LCBO was notified on May 6, 2020 of a previous confirmed case at this location. As a precautionary measure and due to staffing restrictions, this retail location will be temporarily closed to the public. This location was deep cleaned on Thursday, May 7, however additional cleaning is being arranged.

Thursday, May 7, 2020 — Toronto – Late last night (May 6) we were informed that an employee at our LCBO Store #584 (1571 Sandhurst Circle in Woodside Square Plaza) tested positive for COVID-19. The last shift this employee worked in the store was on Saturday, May 2, 2020 and there is no indication that the confirmed case was a result of a workplace exposure. The employee is currently resting at home and we wish them a full and speedy recovery.

As a precautionary measure, this retail location will be closed to the public while deep cleaning takes place.
