LCBO Expands Popular Same-Day Pickup Service Across the Province

TORONTO, July 19, 2022 –The LCBO is expanding its Same-Day Pickup (SDPU) service to offer more customers the convenience and choice of ordering on lcbo.com and picking up in store at an express counter within two hours of ordering.*

The LCBO will roll out the expansion to an additional 170 stores in the coming weeks (there are currently 202 stores with SDPU available), for a total of 372 stores.

“Same-Day Pickup provides easy and seamless shopping that customers have come to expect from the LCBO,” says John Summers, Chief Retail Officer. “It’s all part of delivering a best-in-class retail experience for our customers, no matter how, when or where they choose to shop.”

SDPU was especially popular during the pandemic where customers sought more convenient and safe ways to shop.

The program and other eCommerce initiatives continue to be a key priority for the LCBO. Recently, the LCBO launched a new lcbo.com, which has features such as an improved search function, additional product information, as well as an enhanced checkout process, where customers can choose Same-Day Pickup and ship-to-home within the same cart.

The SDPU expansion will be launched in four phases, with the first phase starting July 19, 2022.

As part of the Same-Day Pickup expansion promotion, from now until September 10, 2022, customers can earn 50 bonus Aeroplan points on every Same-Day Pickup order. For those who are not yet an Aeroplan member, joining is easy at aircanada.com/join.
