The 2012 Ludovico, made with Nero d'Avola and a dash of Cabernet Sauvignon, just missed out on getting the highest honors. Its magnificent, fresh fragrances of blueberries and plums are spruced up with a hint of capers, myrtle and juniper berries, while the mouth features delightfully soft and smooth tannins. Score - 2 Glasses (out of 3). (Gambero Rosso Italian Wines, 2018)
