A very warm season in Mendoza (the warmest in the last 20 years, we're told) has left its mark on this malbec with a fairly high alcohol content, although the truth is that beyond the ripeness and sweetness of the fruit, the wine seems balanced, with enough acidity to highlight the freshness and give it nerve. This is a selection from the Los Chacayes zone in the Uco Valley, from vineyards at an altitude of 1,250 meters. It was aged in barrels for a year. Score - 92. (Descorchados, 2023)
