A blend of 75% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre, the 2017 Cotes du Rhone Villages Laurus was still aging in its special barrels, where 60% of it will stay for a full 18 months prior to blending and bottling. It offers some resiny garrigue notes of rosemary and pine but also lovely cherry and blueberry fruit. It's medium to full-bodied but silky and agile, with an elegant finish. Drink date: 2018-2022. Score - 88-91. (Joe Czerwinski, robertparker.com, Nov. 30, 2018)
