Domaine Simonis is one of the biodynamic pioneers in Alsace, eliminating chemicals over 20 years ago. The family has been cultivating vines in Ammerschwihr since the 17th century. This Grand Cru Marckrain comes from 2 plots of Gewürztraminer planted on marno-limestone soil with a South-Eastern exposition. It gives a powerful wine with intense nose of mango and pineapple. Full bodied and complex, the palate is rich with hints of spices. A wine to be enjoyed now or in a few years.
