The grapes for this T.H. come from the Talinay Vineyard, owned by the Tabalí winery, and this is the first time Undurraga has bought grapes from there. The soils are chalky on those rolling coastal hills that give rise to sharp, tense wines. The chalk plays its role, making everything tense. And then too, there's clone 1, which yields sauvignons known for their good body and great acidity. Those two factors, place and clonal material, work together here to create a wine that seems to be made of stone rather than fruit. Score - 95. (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2020)
