Winemaker Craig McDonald is behind this tight, citrus lined chardonnay that is wild fermented. The texture is creamy and layered but punctuated by lemon and lees to lend it a complex nature. Look for bright apple and pear with a subtle line of baked apple caramel and fresh, sour apple mash finish. Taut enough for creamy dishes, and I'm leaning towards mushroom risotto or a roasted turkey. No rush to drink this through 2022. Score - 89. (Anthony Gismondi, gismondionwine.com, June 18, 2019)
