A year that wasn't warm in the Central Valley has given rise to very good cabernet sauvignons, like this one from a selection of very old cabernet vineyards, very old blocks planted a century ago on the fertile soils of San Carlos de Cunaco. Most of the wine (81%) was aged in oak, but it hardly influences the flavors of this red and delicious cabernet that offers rich herb and spice tones but maintains the fruit as the focal point. One for spicy pork ribs. Score - 93. (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2020)
