Listán Negro is cultivated on the beautiful island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. The vines are trained in 'parrales', a training method inherited by the Portuguese who established themselves on the island back in the 15th century. These vertical structures help vines manoeuver on the difficult topography created by the eruptions of active volcano, Teide. This wine is sustainably farmed on 100 year old vines. This is a delightful red, with aromas of black pepper, dark fruits and an outstanding fragrance of black pepper and a strong mineral character.
