"Vignadores de Carignan" designates old Carignan vines that have been dry-farmed and bush-trained in the Maule Secano area.
I tasted again the 2011 Éclat Vigno from Valdivieso, before it was labeled Éclat Vigno, but it's the same wine, in the context of all the Vigno bottlings for comparison's sake. It contains 43% Mourvèdre (Monastrell), the limit allowed until the harvest of 2018, when the quantity of Carignan (Cariñena) has to be 85%. It has a dusty and rustic character, a little earthy, developing slowly in bottle after the élevage of 12 months in bottle. It has a polished palate and tasty flavors. A Mediterranean blend of merit. Drink Date: 2018-2023. Score - 92. (Luis Gutiérrez, robertparker.com, Oct. 31, 2018)
