The wine is medium bodied with a bright ruby red colour. On the nose there are aromas of red plums, blackberries along with red cherry and plum floral notes. There is a subtle note of wet saddle leather, leading to a sweet and spicy note of liquorice. The aromas that were present on the nose follow through on the palate. The tannins are medium with good acidity, leading to an exceptionally clean mouthfeel. The wood is subtle and well integrated. The finish is long and persistent. Pairs well with tomato based dishes, cured meat, medium cheese and root vegetable pot roast. Drink 2019 -- 2024
