Above-average temperatures saw the Merlot for the 2017 Cont'Ugo harvested between the 21st of August and the 13th of September, nearly 10 days earlier than is typical. The wine will be plump, complex, captivating and fresh, with intensely articulated floral, black fruit and earth tones. A wine that never fails to express purity and depth, this will delight tonight with lamb but will easily continue to reward through 2026.
