2018 was a brilliant year, according to winemaker Sebastián Ruiz. It was a very good year for reds especially, and that impression is confirmed here in this syrah from 5-year-old vineyards planted in Isla de Maipo, in what is now known as the Fundo Tarapacá estate. This wine has claw-like tannins and ripe red fruit mingled with tart black cherry tones. It's very young, but you'll want to taste it now to enjoy all that fruit. Go for lamb sweetbreads. Score - 93.
