This Italian family has been growing Sonoma zinfandel for over 100 years, nowadays rendering a style that nicely weaves a traditional Italian nervy sensitivity with modern fruit-oriented tastes. This basic Sonoma County blend from various sites shows generous, ripe blackberry/brambleberry fruit, violet and pepper and fine oak spice. It is quite full bodied but not heavy with good acidity, balanced alcohol (14%) and slightly grippy tannin. Very good to excellent length. Score - 91. (David Lawrason, winealign.com, Aug. 12, 2020)
