    Sourced from vines planted in red and black loam over limestone. Heady and structured, this is a wine you'll want to aerate before serving. It's lush and complex, with great structure, impressively expressed black fruit, notes of vanilla, dried earth, spice, licorice and toast, and a touch of cocoa on the finish. Despite its power, the balance is such that there's an elegance here, too. Enjoy with ribs, lamb or other braised meats. (Vintages panel, May 2018)
