A highly structured pinot noir which has the firmness and concentration one would expect from the Central Otago region. The changing tides in wine style in this mountainous region of the South Island of New Zealand is nicely represented here in the wine's restraint, moderate alcohol levels and balanced level of ripeness. Youthful, well-made and a pretty serious wine. Best to hold this one another year or two for the tannins to soften and the palate to further integrate. Score - 91.
