A gentle application of wood frames the notably ripe yet still agreeably fresh nose that consists mostly of plum, black cherry and soft earth scents. There is equally good ripeness to the vibrant and beautifully well-detailed medium weight flavors that exude a lovely minerality on the serious but not really austere finale that is noticeably more structured. This well-balanced effort will require a few years of cellar time but should amply repay 7 to 10 years of cellaring. Recommended. Drink: 2022+. Sweet spot. Outstanding. Score - 91.
