The 2014 Rosso Fiorano (Alberico) is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. I tasted bottle number 130 of 1,035 bottles released. In the U.S. and U.K. markets, this wine is named Alberico. In Italy and Asian markets, the wine is simply called Rosso Fiorano. Showing lavish Lazio sunshine and ripeness, the wine is redolent of dark fruit and blackberry preserves. I do note, however, that the wine's ripeness does push the boundaries. You get some savory aromas of bacon fat and cured meat followed by raisins and dried prune. There is a distant point of sweetness in the mouth as well. Drink date: 2019-2029. Score - 91. (Monica Larner, robertparker.com, Oct. 17, 2019)
