This comes from the hot sandy soils of Vicuña, which Giorgio Flessati says are ideally suited to the variety, and is partly made with the appassimento technique of drying grapes that is used in the Veneto region of northern Italy. Off-dry and slightly figgy, with a green undertone and spicy 15% new American oak. Drink date: 2020-2025. Score - 90. (Tim Atkin, MW, timatkin.com, Chile Special Report 2020)
