Vines planted in '75. 80% whole bunch ferment, all pressings included, 13 months in French oak, 13% new. Licorice, violets, stems, nuts and black cherries. It puts on a complex display, seamless, too, its soft fruit and texture pulling a wide gamut of flavours along for the ride. Tannin is incredibly fine-grained and its nutty length has plenty going for it. This is a mid-weight shiraz with a whole lot to offer. Drink by: 2032. Score - 95.
